Privacy Policy
What we collect, why, and what we never do with it. Written to be read, not skimmed.
Who we are
Colaunched is operated by Cyligence, LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect when you use colaunched.ai and app.colaunched.ai, why we collect it, and what we never do with it. Questions go to hello@colaunched.ai.
The short version
We collect what we need to find and score business ideas for you, and nothing we would be embarrassed to explain. We never sell your data. We never show your profile, your numbers, or your name to other members without your explicit action. We never estimate what you will earn, and we do not collect data to try.
What we collect, and why
Account. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google. We use them to create your account and to show your initial in the corner of the app. We do not receive your Google password.
Your profile. During onboarding you may give us a LinkedIn URL, a résumé, a website, your budget, hours, time horizon, interests, and the usernames of public accounts where people already follow you. We use these to write the plain-language lines on your profile ("You've sold to strangers…") and to score Difficulty and Fit for each idea. A résumé is read once to draft those lines and is not stored; we keep only the date we read it. Every line is yours to correct or remove.
Reach. For the usernames you give us we look only at what is public: how many people follow the account and what it is followed for. We never post, read messages, or store your followers. Counts are observed the day you enter them and refreshed about monthly.
What you do in the app. Ideas you save, launches you start, steps you tick off, and gates you set. This is the product working; it is how we keep scoring your list and how the badge is earned.
Verification, if you choose it. To verify revenue you can connect a payment processor, a bank account through an aggregator, or accounting software, or upload a CPA letter or tax return. Connections are read-only; we never move money and never see card numbers. We store the totals needed to decide a tier and the source class (observed, attested, reported), not transaction detail. Only the tier you reached is ever shown, and only if you choose to show it.
Technical. Standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested, timestamps) kept for security and debugging, and a session cookie that keeps you signed in. We do not run third-party advertising or tracking scripts.
Where the ideas come from
The ideas themselves are built from public demand: requests journalists publish for expert sources, public forum discussions, search interest, and published articles. That material is about markets, not about you. We keep each item as we found it, with the date, so we can show our evidence. Members see the facts, never the names of the sources or vendors we observed.
Who can see what
Your profile, constraints, reach, saved ideas and launch plans are private to you. If you invite a partner or accept a match, the other person sees the idea, the gap it needs, and your first name; your profile lines are shared only after you both say yes, and only the lines relevant to that launch. If you share an idea, the recipient sees the idea, not you. Verified revenue tiers appear publicly only when you turn that on.
Service providers who run infrastructure for us — hosting, database, authentication, email, and payment or bank aggregators you connect — process data on our behalf under contracts that limit them to that purpose. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with advertisers.
Automated decisions
Scoring, re-scoring, gate checks and verification tiers are automated, and a person steps in only for exceptions — for example when two revenue sources disagree or you dispute a decision. Automated language models are used to label public text; they never add facts and are never given your private data for training. You can ask us to explain any score or decision that affects you.
Keeping and deleting data
We keep your account data while you have an account. Delete your account from Settings, or email us, and we remove your profile, reach, saved ideas and launches within 30 days; server logs age out on their own within 90 days. Verification records tied to an awarded badge are kept for as long as the badge is displayed, then removed. You can download everything we hold about you from Settings.
Your rights
Wherever you live you can access, correct, export or delete your data, and object to or restrict how we use it. Residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, California and other places with privacy laws have specific rights under those laws; write to us and we will honour them. We will not treat you differently for exercising a right.
We rely on your consent for the profile and reach you choose to give us, on our contract with you for running the service, and on our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.
Cookies
We use one first-party cookie to keep you signed in and, on the app, browser storage for small conveniences such as a remembered filter. There are no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking.
Children
Colaunched is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if you believe we have, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes
When we change this policy we update the date at the top and, for material changes, tell you by email or in the app before they take effect. This version is effective September 4, 2026.
